It is with great pleasure that the Defence Medical Services Department supports the
production and distribution of this CD, “Blood, Heat and Dust” to a wide professional
and military audience. The electronic book which it contains has been compiled and
written entirely on a voluntary basis on the initiative of the senior author, and I
commend those of all ranks who have contributed written and photographic material
and vignettes to bring the book to life. The CD highlights a wide range of talents and
energies within the Service.
