Journal of the ASGBI
Between 2008 and 2016, I served the Council of the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland, initially as the Regional Representative for Wessex, and between 2012 and 2016 I served on the Executive Board as the Director of Communications.
Through this period, I wrote regularly for the Newsletter of the Association, whose title evolved informally into the Journal of the ASGBI (JASGBI) around 2010.
The JASGBI was not formally incorporated as such or listed in the major citation systems over that period, but the production standards were high under the management of Mr Nick Gair and the technical direction of Mr Steve Johnson of Red Apple Design.
The journal issues were not initially preserved electronically, and I have sought in this section to reproduce a range of eclectic articles which gave me pleasure to write and hopefully to create interest and to provoke some thinking about some off-beat topics.
